    Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively. Responsibilities Maintains Social Media relationships associated with established profiles for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. Creates and maintains visible profiles on multiple social media platforms. Proactively engages with users daily via online communities. Develops and implements social networking strategies for all ads and promotions offered. Formulates and manages viral marketing campaigns maintaining presence on social networks including MCCS community sites, Facebook, Instagram, and others. Assists in implementing social networking plans and promotional activities developed by management. Supports digital marketing campaigns and maintains MCCS presence on approved social media networks. Coordinates posting of contact to various platforms in accordance with established plans and guidance. Creates and edits basic graphic elements and short (15-40 seconds) videos with Adobe Creative Cloud software programs that are to be utilized on social media sites and other digital platforms. Suggests improvements to social media practices and strategies and identifies new technologies and business practices for consideration. Provides guidance and assistance to all MCCS social media administrators within various Divisions on the use of social media tools and compliance with established media policies. Writes, proofs, edits, and organizes information for daily social media posts, weekly stories, briefs, speeches, scripts, articles and digital or print publications and campaign assets. Works with marketing staff to ensure all MCCS facilities and events are presented well and information is accurate. Shoots photos and video at various events, programs and facilities to produce marketing materials. Assists in communication and promotional requirements, including developing exhibits, brochures, calendars, and posters. Organizes daily workload to meet established deadlines and assignments. Coordinates with the Graphic Arts Manager and Digital Media Manager to ensure content is posted accurately and on schedule, to reach target audiences. Occasionally works at special events and provides social media and photographic support for MCCS functions. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a white- collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three years' experience in marketing, public affairs, communications, OR a Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the above duties, OR a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above. Knowledge and skill in developing written, printed and digital materials. Must possess strong creative written and oral communication skills as well as strong skills in conceptualizing, strong layout, composition, and understanding of design components (typography, grid, imagery, hierarchy, space). Ability to organize workload and meet tight production deadlines while juggling multiple jobs. Must have strong computer skills with knowledge and advanced experience working with the following Adobe Creative Cloud software programs Premiere Pro and After Effects, and beginner to intermediate experience in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Require experience in video creation and editing. Strong knowledge and experience creating and managing content for social media platforms (specifically Facebook, Instagram and YouTube). Extensive experience and skill to use computers, tablets, cameras, and video equipment. Requires skill to identify target audiences and determine effective sources, methods, and techniques to market to target audience. Required to have highly effective communication, both oral and written; including advanced knowledge and skill of proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Must have motivation and a great deal of initiative and flair for marketing.
