Job summary:

+ The Iron Technician III provides assembly and testing of various mechanical components of valves.

Additional Information:

+ Starting Pay: $27.10/Hour. Can be adjusted with experience.

+ Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM , currently working 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM with some weekends. Schedule may change to a rotating schedule in the future.

+ Overtime based on business need

+ Relocation is not available for this position

What you will do:

+ At SPM Oil & Gas, our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service

+ Process incoming gate valve start to finish.  Able to accept equipment from delivery, recommission equipment, load equipment for delivery, complete all associate paperwork, perform quality check, and manage inventory (without supervision)

+ Understand customer requirements throughout the entire refurbishment of pressure control product to produce high quality product

+ Ability to perform final inspection

+ Ability to mentor and train fellow technicians in the refurbishment process

+ Demonstrate leadership skills

+ Exhibit and always advocate exemplary safety culture

+ Perform additional duties as assigned

What you will have:

+ One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic

+ Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment

+ Experience with FC style and FLS style gate valves

**Top Candidates will have** :

+ Ability to operate hand tools such as hammers, screw drivers, hydraulic torque wrenches and additional specialty tools – including micrometers

+ Must be at least 21 years of age

+ Have a clean driving record, which generally means:

+ No more than (2) moving violations within the last 12 months.

+ No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years

+ Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear

+ Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

+ Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

+ Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department

+ Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles

+ Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions

+ Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration

+ Noise Level: Moderate

Summary Pay Range:

$27.10 - $36.35
