    Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

     

    NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises Marketing and Creative Project Manager is a dynamic project leader, responsible for managing and overseeing the planning, development, and execution of specific campaigns and projects for Telemundo Network from start to finish.

     

    This short-term contract position requires excellent planning and leadership skills across all department areas within the Marketing and Creative division, as well as exceptional communication, organization, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, with a team-player mentality.

     

    This position will report to the Vice President of Strategic Planning and Project Management and will serve as a key stakeholder to the Marketing team within NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, as well as other internal partners, external agencies, and freelancers.

     

    This is a project/limited term position, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

    Responsibilities

    + Responsible for leading a project through its lifecycle, from inception, to planning, development and execution phases

    + Responsible for managing and tracking project timeline, ensuring all identified milestones are completed on timely manner

    + Define project scope of work and identify resources needed to support the team

    + Accountable for managing and tracking project budget, and communicating budget challenges in a timely manner to avoid unexpected additional costs

    + Proactively create, update and improve required project documentation and reports, to facilitate team alignment and project visibility

    + Ability to think one step ahead, spot project risks, think of potential solutions, and mitigate and/or escalate risks as needed to ensure project stays on track and on time

    + Responsible for communicating project progress to Marketing leadership team and key stakeholders across the company

    + Function as a communication facilitator, ensuring cross-functional alignment and resolving communication challenges that might surge during the life of a project

    + Schedule, plan and lead recurring project meeting with different team members and stakeholders from all function and seniority levels across the organization

    + Capture meeting agreements and next steps and distribute them to team

    + Facilitate project information to team in a timely manner

    + Represent the Project Management department and be an advocate to establish and promote project management standards and best practices

    + Ensure project is finalized to the contentment of all stakeholders, within the designated budget and timeline

    + Evaluate project's success and identifies areas for improvement for future projects

    + Identify ways to improve project techniques, documentation, tools and/or reports ensure Project Management department is evolving according to business needs

    + Critical thinker with the ability to listen, analyze and evaluate an issue or situation prior to making decisions

    + Open and active listener, with the ability to respectfully challenge teams to improve project outcome or solve challenges

    + Proven ability to manage confidential information and successfully elevating critical situations that require timely decision making

    + Keen understanding of how to consistently “move the ball forward” in varied circumstances

    + Team-player mentality, highly collaborative, and committed to building a strong and healthy team culture

    + Comfortable to delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment

    Qualifications/Requirements

    + 5+ years' experience in the Media and Entertainment Industry

    + Broadcast/Media experience required

    + 5+ year’s Marketing, Creative and/or Marketing Operations background

    + Project Management certification

    + Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, and an ability to use the right method for the task and situation

    + Excellent written and verbal communications, ability to tailor to all levels of an organization

    + Exceptional Microsoft Office skills (Word, Power Point and Excel are an absolute requirement)

    + Fully bilingual in English and Spanish is a must (written and spoken)
