    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Legal Operations & Legal Expense Management

    + Manage the company’s legal billing system, including invoice review, coding, and matter management.

    + Monitor outside counsel guidelines and ensure compliance.

    + Serve as point of contact with outside counsel on billing issues.

    + Produce and distribute monthly reports on legal spend, budget-to-actual, and matter status for leadership.

    + Litigation & Claims Support

    + Assist with management of litigation, arbitration, and claims.

    + Coordinate with outside counsel, track deadlines, and maintain litigation files.

    + Collect, review, and organize discovery materials and evidence.

    + Administer and track the company’s legal hold process, including communication with custodians and documentation of compliance.

    + Corporate Governance & Compliance

    + Manage corporate records, filings, and entity registrations.

    + Handle all service of process notices.

    + Support corporate secretary functions, including preparation of board minutes.

    + Assist with licensing, permits, and other compliance requirements.

    + Manage corporate IP.

    + Research & General Legal Support

    + Conduct legal and regulatory research on issues affecting operations.

    + Draft and edit correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents.

    + Provide legal support to the General Counsel as needed.

    + Provide general legal team support on projects and initiatives as assigned.

    + Other duties as assigned in support of the operation.

    Work Environment:

    At RfR, in-person work at our offices and/or branch location is a top priority because it allows us to more effectively collaborate, connect, and builds a workplace culture that drives our continued success. This role requires onsite presence at a RfR office and/or branch location. Except for limited circumstances, remote and/or hybrid options are not offered at this time.

    Estimated rate of pay $115,000 - $145,000 annually

    Qualifications

    Education

    Required

    + Bachelors or better

    Experience

    Required

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University is required, preferably in paralegal studies. Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is required. Minimum of seven (7) years of paralegal experience, preferably in a corporate legal department, with an emphasis on litigation support, compliance, and legal operations. Experience taking Board minutes is critical and required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
