    About the Role

    The Sonographer III plays a key role in supporting physicians by performing high-quality diagnostic and/or therapeutic ultrasound procedures. This position is responsible for preparing patients, operating advanced ultrasound equipment, and producing accurate diagnostic images.

     

    The Sonographer III must hold certifications that align with the specific exam demographics performed at the hiring site.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    + Associate degree preferred

    + Graduation from an ARRT-approved or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required

    Experience:

    + Minimum of three years of sonography experience, required

    Licensure/Certification:

    + Certified and registered by ARDMS in three specialties, required

    + Vascular Technology is required

    + Additional required certifications may include:

    + Pediatric Sonography (RDMS, PS)

    + Obstetrics & Gynecology Sonography (RDMS, OB/GYN)

    + Musculoskeletal Sonography (RDMS, RMSKS, MSKS)

    + Breast Sonography is excluded from fulfilling one of the three required certifications

    + Accepted combinations may include:

    + ARRT in Vascular Sonography – RT(S)(VS), RT(VS)

    + ARDMS – RDMS, RVT, VT

    + CCI – RVS

    + Applicable state license, required
