What You'll Do
What You’ll Do:
+ Provide a warm, safe, and nurturing learning experience that supports each child’s unique development
+ Uphold the center’s goals, guidelines, and high standards of care
+ Ensure full compliance with North Carolina Division of Child Development regulations and Health Department sanitation requirements
+ Foster a positive and inclusive environment where children, families, and team members feel valued and supported
What We're Looking For
+ Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. AA/AAS degree in Early Childhood or related field as defined by DHHS Division of Child Development Education unit, required.
+ Experience: Minimum of 2-year verifiable experience in a childcare center, or years of experience working with children up to 12 years of age; required.
+ Licensure/Certification:
+ NC Credentials or equivalency defined by regulatory compliance Division of Child Development Workforce Unit, required.
+ Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid within 2 months of hire, required.
+ ITS SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) within 2 months of hire (infants up to 12 months of age)of age), required.
+ Additional Skills Required:
+ DHHS NC Division of Child Development Criminal Background Letter (required renewal every 5 years), and Workforce letter (within 60 days of hire) or education verification until workforce letter is obtain.
+ Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
+ BSAC required for those working with school age children. CDL for school age if driving the buses.· NC Division of Child Development Qualifying Letter/Criminal Background letter · NC Division of Child Development Workforce letter within 2 months of hire · NC Institute for Child Development Professional ECE Certification within 2 months of hire.
+ CDL license (if hired for driving buses) and working with school age children.
+ Maintain training hours requirements as outlined by the Division of Child Development.
+ Additional Skills Preferred: Playground Safety training.
