    Temporary Incoming Materials Inspection Technician

     

    The Temporary Incoming Inspection Technician assists in the receipt & initial quality inspection of PacStar inventory. You will work with the Incoming Materials Inspection team to ensure the highest quality of incoming inventory

    Your Challenge:

    + Perform mechanical inspection for defects

    + Works within established inspection criteria and sample plan for incoming materials

    + Testing of electrical and data cables

    + Document and maintain first article archive

    + Work within established inspection criteria and sample plan for incoming materials

    + Inspection and evaluation of first-articles

    + Record non-conforming materials

    + Report inspection findings and vendor source information to senior members of the Incoming Materials Inspection team

    + Present quality status to senior members of the Incoming Materials Inspection team

    + Participate in the MRB Program

    + Know, practice, and be an advocate of all site safety rules and regulations

    + Performance requires physical attendance

    + Performance requires extended hours and occasional weekend work.

    + Other duties as assigned

    What You Bring:

    + 1+ years Quality Control experience, required

    + Demonstrated ability to meet and maintain high quality standards for incoming materials

    + Experience with relevant ISO, Six Sigma and MIL standards for quality control is a plus

    + Experience with simple mechanical inspection is required

    + Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings is required

    + Experience with measurement and inspection tools is required

    + Proficient with MS Office

    + Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds at least 40 feet

    + Ability to multi-task and manage various project related duties

    + Strong work ethic

    + Ability to type a minimum of 25 to 30 WPM

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Accuracy and attention to detail is a must

    + Must be able to self-organize workloads and manage all deadlines
