    In this position...

     

    As a Reliability Engineer at Ford Motor Company, you will play a key role in developing quality, reliable and durable vehicles for customers around the globe. Successful applicants must possess a strong interest in Reliability, product testing, and customer support. Workload will consist of supporting cross functional groups to identify reliability challenges; drive to robust reliability solutions early in the development; and track reliability through product launch. Projects will be targeted to high profile new products, technology, and launches. The position requires presentation of status and findings allowing diverse management exposure.

     

    What you'll do...

     

    + Work with Engineering and Program Management to set reliability goals at vehicle level and cascade goals to subsystems and components.

    + Work with Engineering and Validation teams to create reliability test plans and evaluate results.

    + Work with Quality teams to complete dFMEA and failure mode avoidance activities.

    + Track and report reliability growth across programs.

    + Ability to coach and mentor entry level engineers and cross functional product teams.

     

    You'll have...

     

    BS degree in Engineering or similar technical field.

     

    2+ years of experience in reliability testing and statistical models.

     

    Even better, you may have...

     

    MS degree in Engineering or similar technical field.

     

    5 years of experience in Reliability, Quality, Testing or Product Engineering.

     

    Experience in manufacturing - quality.

     

    2-3 years Data Analytics experience (Python, R-Studio, SQL.

     

    BEV/Hybrid/EREV understanding and experience.

     

    Experience with reliability modeling software – ReliaSoft, MiniTab, JMP.

     

    Strong Ford+ Behaviors.

     

    Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several unique tasks simultaneously.

     

    Ability to develop clear working level documents and management presentations.

     

    Proficiency with using Microsoft Office applications.

     

    Understanding of automotive parts and systems for teardown and root cause analysis.

     

    Ability and willingness to travel to both Ford and supplier domestic and foreign locations.

     

    Comfort and willingness to present to higher management.

    This position is a range of salary grades SG5-SG8.
