Position Summary

We have a unique space called the Heath Newsstand in our San Francisco location. It is an evolving concept space that enables Heath to interact with the Mission District community on dynamic levels. The Heath Newsstand is a separate yet intrinsically connected part of the Heath showroom experience in San Francisco.

Expanding on some of the magazines and books we already carry in our showrooms, it features publication on food and design, a variety of magazines and newspapers, international publications and like any good newsstand, it offers refreshments and snacks. The Newsstand has something for everyone, including our local neighbors and visitors.

Who You Are

+ 1-3 years of previous sales experience, preferably for a design-led brand

+ Ability to meet and exceed sales goals

+ Passion for design and other creative pursuits

+ Engaging communication style with customers and designers

+ Ability to identify customer needs and problem solve, to understand and explain product features and benefits

+ Ability to work weekends and holidays

+ Knowledge of POS systems and a high level of comfort with technology (including the ability to use iPad/laptop, Mobile POS and Internet)

+ Ability to comfortably lift 30 lbs and stand for long periods of time

Work Environment/Hours/ Compensation

This is a part-time seasonal position that averages 16-26 hours per week, 2-4 days a week. Weekend availability is a must. This position is onsite at our San Francisco Factory & Showroom location. This seasonal role will start in December and end at the end of January. The position pays $25.00 per hour.

Physical Requirements

+ Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

+ Ability to lift, reach and grasp 30 lbs and to push/pull carts and bins of merchandise repeatedly throughout the day

+ Ability to see and distinguish between patterns and colors
