Description
The Department of CTSI is seeking a dedicated Research Dietetic Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality food and nutrition care services to research participants and patients utilizing the resources of the CTRC clinical facilities and metabolic kitchen. The position involves a broad range of specialized clinical nutrition and foodservice responsibilities, including those unique to the research environment. Key duties include supporting clinical nutrition protocols, maintaining accurate records, ensuring food safety and sanitation in the metabolic kitchen, and interacting directly with research participants and staff. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative clinical research while supporting excellence in nutrition care and patient service.

Hourly Per Diem Rate: $35.20
Qualifications
Required;
+ Dietetic Technician, Registered (D.T.R.) or Nutrition and Dietetic Technician
+ Registered (NDTR) certification
+ ANSI-CFP food safety certification required (ServSafe, Prometric, NRFSP, 360 Training)
+ Some post-secondary experience in a field related to research
+ A minimum of one year's experience as a Diet Technician or Dietetic Assistant in a hospital food service setting
+ Must demonstrate competency with basic arithmetic skills, including percentage and decimal calculations
+ Experience with PC-based spreadsheets and word processing
+ Must be familiar with the basic techniques of quality food preparation and foodservice safety and sanitation principles
+ Reliability, independence, flexibility, attentiveness to detail, and the ability to workindependently are essential
+ Excellent, professional verbal and written communications skills are required. Must be able to read appropriate technical materials with understanding and communicate effectively with subjects
