POSITION DETAILS
Queensborough Community College, a member college of The City University of New York (CUNY), is located on a 37-acre campus in Bayside, Queens, New York. Queensborough enrolls students in rich liberal arts and science curricula as well as in career and pre-professional courses. The College seeks an ASAP Recruitment Coordinator. Reporting to the ASAP Director or her designee, the ASAP Recruitment Coordinator will perform the duties in the CUNY Title Overview, help provide a supportive environment and assist with fostering strong relationships with the college community. Participation in off campus activities as well as evening and weekend hours will be required.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborate closely with campus departments—including Recruitment and Admissions, Communications, the Registrar, and Information Technology—on student recruitment and outreach initiatives.
Lead information sessions and schedule intake appointments for students eligible for ASAP.
Support direct recruitment efforts at high schools, community events, and other approved outreach locations.
Provide detailed information about the ASAP program and its services both in person and through various communication channels.
Maintain current information related to College programs and degree requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Previous experience working in a Higher Education setting
-Previous recruitment experience
-Strong understanding of the needs of community college students
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Ability to communicate program requirements effectively to students
-Ability to easily build rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with students, staff, and faculty
-Computer literacy in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Excel and Access),and aptitude to learn new systems as needed
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) helps students earn their college degree as quickly as possible, by removing the financial, academic, and personal obstacles that many students confront. Key ASAP program features include a consolidated block schedule, cohorts by major, required full-time study and comprehensive advisement and career development services. The ASAP Recruitment Coordinator coordinates and contributes to ASAP student recruiting activities.
- Conducts information sessions and initial intake appointments to ensure ASAP applicants are fully informed of
requirements and processes
- Assists in direct recruiting at high schools, community outreach events, and other appropriate locations
- Maintains relations with CUNY pre-matriculation programs
- Provides information about the ASAP program and its services in person or by telephone, email, or letter
- Coordinates ASAP Student Leader activities
- Maintains current information about College programs and degree requirements
- Performs related duties as assigned

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range $59,444 - $ 66, 154.
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
