+ This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division.
+ Responsible for working closely with a highly talented team of database administrators and engineers, in the design, implementation, and support of enterprise standard databases based on business area requirements. You will drive the identification, definition, and implementation of database backup/recovery and security strategies; install and support DBMS (Database Management Systems) software and tools; be responsible for various database activities, including monitoring, tuning, capacity, migrating, upgrading, troubleshooting, and consulting.
What you'll do
+ Translates a logical data model or user specifications into a physical design
+ Ensures detailed physical design of data structures and database complies with enterprise standards, guidelines, procedures, and processes
+ Creates physical database structures based on physical design for development, test, and production environments
+ Coordinates with systems engineers to configure servers for DBMS product installation and database creation
+ Implements monitoring procedures to maximize availability and performance of the database, while meeting defined SLAs
+ Investigates, troubleshoots, and resolves database problems
+ Identifies, defines, and implements database backup / recovery and security strategies
+ Oversees and sets DBMS platform performance and availability improvements measures based on metric analysis
+ Leads highly complex capacity planning, workload modeling, system maintenance/ administration, and diagnostics
+ Architectures and designs enterprise databases and data warehouse
+ Leads implementation and administration of Oracle 11g & 12c Single and Multi-Tenant RAC environment on ASM/ACFS, Data Guard in Linux/Unix environment
+ Contributes to architectural direction and provides the expertise for design and performance of the database structures, assists with database performance tuning, database capacity issues, replication and other distributed data issues.
+ Creates, coordinates and administers databases, including base definition, structure documentation, operational guidelines, and security.
+ Applies established data management best practices and recommends improvements
+ As Primary Administrator Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) machines, designs, implements, patches, and troubleshoots performance and capacity planning for CPU and storage
+ Responsible for design of, implementation and administration of SQL Server replication and/or AlwaysOn Availability Groups.
+ Assists with other information technology projects, as assigned, within the general scope of regularly assigned responsibilities and related qualifications.
+ Provides on-site, and on-call support, as needed

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
+ 5 years applicable experience in the design/administration/ support of one or more DBMS platforms required (Oracle 11g/12c and SQL Server 2008/2012/2014)
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
+ Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
+ 7+ years applicable experience in the design/administration/ support of one or more DBMS platforms required (Oracle 11g/12c and SQL Server 2008/2012/2014)
+ Airline Industry experience
