This job will be a member of the Procurement Team within the Finance Division. The Manager, Procure to Pay will lead the Buyer Operations team responsible for Coupa order management, driving operational excellence through process oversight, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives across downstream procurement activities.

+ Leads the Buyer Operations team, overseeing day-to-day Coupa order management activities and ensuring timely and accurate processing of purchase orders across all categories.
+ Drives operational excellence by identifying and implementing process enhancements that improve efficiency, compliance, and user experience within downstream procurement operations.
+ Partners cross-functionally with Procurement Excellence, Accounting Automation, and Category Management teams to align on Coupa optimization initiatives, policy rollouts, and system enhancements.
+ Establishes and scales a Procurement Operations support model to include PO creation, catalog management, and tail spend oversight—laying the foundation for a structured, service-oriented function that supports American Airlines’ Source-to-Pay (S2P) transformation.
+ Develops and maintains governance routines, including performance metrics, service level agreements (SLAs), and stakeholder feedback loops to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
+ Supports change management and training efforts related to Coupa releases, catalog updates, and procurement policy changes, ensuring adoption and compliance across the enterprise.
+ Leads and develops team members within the Buyer Operations function, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and professional growth.
+ Ensures adherence to department policies, corporate ethics, and compliance standards, including Resource Approval Policy (RAP) and procurement controls.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent training/experience
+ 5 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, or Business Administration/ Management
+ Demonstrated success in leading Coupa or similar procurement platform operations
Preferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience
+ Master’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
+ 5+ years of experience managing procurement operations teams, including direct leadership of buyer or purchasing functions
Skills, Licenses, and Certifications
+ Proven track record of driving process improvements, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration
+ Experience in developing governance frameworks, performance metrics, and service-oriented support models
+ Strong background in change management, training, and policy implementation within procurement systems
