    Boeing Test & Evaluation is seeking an **Associate** **Lab Test** **Manufacturing Engineer** to support **Test Labs** in **Seattle, WA.** A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency.     The Aeronautical Systems Integration & Test (ASIT) Manufacturing Engineer is an assembly and installation engineer within Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) that supports fabrication planning and installation by providing design review, manufacturing plan authorship, fabrication sourcing (inside and outside of Boeing), interface with procurement (including tracking), and support in the lab during the build/installation. The primary focus of this position is the support of the Systems lab test design & fabrication efforts located in Seattle, WA. These efforts represent a wide variety of research and production programs primary in support of Boeing Commercial airplanes (BCA) and Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS).

     

    Manufacturing Engineers are owners of the build plan and ensure compliance to design configuration, build plan, and process requirements, Manufacturing Engineering performs Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis and develops an integrated build plan consisting of work instructions for assembly/fabrication, kitting, tooling, inspection requirements, and other outputs to endure fabrication meets design, test, and program requirements.

    Position Responsibilities Include:

    + Participates with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines

    + Develops, implements and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration

    + Develops and plans manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives

    + Support integration of complex suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements

    + Leads development of complex work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments

    + Works with test Project Management, Design Engineering, and Program Industrial Engineering (IE) to develop and maintain integrated build plan

    + Provide build plan and help develop schedule

    + Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business requirements

    + Works under general direction

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    + Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

    + 2+ years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment

    + 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering role

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    + Experience in support of commercial and military customers

    + Boeing BCA/BDS/BT&E Manufacturing experience

    + Experience in Manufacturing Engineering and processes across multiple engineering disciplines

    + Experience with PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, GOLDesp

    + Experience leading teams or projects

    Summary pay range: $89,250 - $120,750
