QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree required in Social Work, Human Services, Criminal Justice, or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Valid Ohio LSW preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Coordinated Navigator, under the administrative/clinical supervision of the Director of Operations, Runaway Homeless Youth (RHY) Programs, provides case management and navigation support to individuals between the ages of 13 and 25 who have been exposed to human trafficking, their guardian, and/or significant others as needed. The Coordinated Navigator acts as a partner in recovery, providing individualized case management and advocacy to youth and families. This position serves as the single point of contact for enrolled youth, conducting screenings, needs assessments, and developing survivor-led recovery roadmaps. The Coordinated Navigator participates in the 24/7 crisis hotline rotation, coordinates services, and ensures compliance with all grant objectives and reporting requirements. This role requires flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, and significant community-based work.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
+ Deliver trauma-informed, survivor-centered advocacy and ongoing support to youth and families impacted by human trafficking.
+ Participate in 24/7 crisis hotline rotation and respond to calls involving suspected or confirmed trafficking cases.
+ Conduct validated human trafficking screenings (HT Screening Tool – Short Form) and enroll eligible youth into the program.
+ Complete comprehensive needs assessments and periodic Stability Assessment.
+ Develop individualized roadmap to recovery in collaboration with youth, including service planning and coordination.
+ Address immediate needs such as safe housing, food, clothing, transportation, and hygiene resources, including but not limited to transporting client to appointments.
+ Coordinate and link youth to community providers and systems (housing, healthcare, legal aid, mental health, substance use treatment).
+ Complete monthly screeners and maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with grant and agency standards.
+ Maintain grant output reporting measures in accordance with grant requirements.
+ Represent BJCB in partnerships with law enforcement, child welfare, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated care.
+ Provide training and education to community partners and law enforcement on human trafficking awareness and response.
+ Assist with data collection, reporting, and evaluation to measure program effectiveness and meet grant objectives.
+ Support outreach efforts, including development of materials to promote program accessibility and awareness.
+ Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct, ensuring confidentiality and safety for all clients.
+ Ability to qualify as an approved agency driver and maintain on-call availability via cell phone.
+ Notify Director of Operations of any emergency situations involving client safety or well-being.
OTHER DUTIES:
+ Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision and on-going training that will provide the skills necessary to implement the program.
+ All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
+ Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
+ Assure that program staff maintains high standards of ethical and professional conduct.
+ Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
+ Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation.
+ Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency driving requirements.
+ Cell phone for on-call responsibilities
+ Other duties as assigned by management.
