What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and protocols relevant to a healthcare environment, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism in all interactions within the healthcare location.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues, with attention to the unique needs and sensitivities of a healthcare setting.

+ Monitor access points and observe for any suspicious activity, reporting and documenting any irregularities according to established protocols.

+ Maintain a visible and approachable presence throughout the location to assist staff, patients, and visitors with security-related concerns.

+ Handle and carry authorized weapons in accordance with all local, state, and company regulations, ensuring proper use in all situations as required by the post profile.

+ Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities when necessary to support a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.

+ Possess an armed guard card or license.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

+ Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, or a baton is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
