    Account Executive, Emerging

    Job Description:

As an Account Executive in Emerging Sales for Sage Intacct, you are at the forefront of driving new customer acquisition and growth within defined regional territories. You will play a pivotal role in helping small businesses modernize their financial operations, while developing the strategic and commercial skills that will shape your future sales career at Sage.

This role represents the next step on your professional journey — advancing from foundational sales experience into full-cycle ownership. You will manage the complete sales process from initial outreach to close, delivering consistent performance while honing your craft in value-based selling, territory strategy, and customer engagement.

You will work within a territory-based “Pod” model, collaborating closely with your aligned BDRs, Sales Leaders, and cross-functional teams to execute Sage’s go-to-market strategy with precision and purpose. Supported through dedicated coaching and mentorship, you will refine your skills, expand your market impact, and contribute meaningfully to Sage’s growth engine in the SMB and Emerging segments.

This role is hybrid, 3 days in office per week. (Atlanta, Lawrenceville or Austin)

    Skills & Experience

    • 2+ years of professional experience in software or SaaS sales, ideally following a successful tenure in a BDR or Inside Sales role.

    • 1+ year of outbound/cold calling or closing experience

    • Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle deals and exceed quota in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong presentation and communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders, including CFOs and Controllers.

    • Strategic mindset with an ability to align Sage’s value proposition to financial and operational outcomes.

    • High learning agility, curiosity, and resilience — committed to continuous improvement and career advancement.

    • Familiarity with financial software, ERP, or cloud business systems preferred.

    • Deliver compelling, insight-led product demonstrations that connect Sage Intacct’s value to the customer’s financial and operational challenges.

    • Develop and execute detailed territory and account plans, prioritizing high-potential prospects aligned with Sage’s vertical and regional focus.

    • Navigate complex buying groups and influence decision-makers through consultative, outcomes-based selling.

    Growth & Career Development

    • Engage in ongoing mentorship and coaching to accelerate professional growth and build the foundations for future leadership or senior AE roles.

    • Participate actively in peer learning, enablement programs, and development tracks that build proficiency in financial acumen, strategic selling, and deal orchestration.
