This role serves as Thrivent’s primary expert for early-stage advisor evaluation within the employee advisor channel, ensuring a consistent, data-driven selection process that predicts long-term success. This position reports to the Director, Virtual Advice Pathways & Transitions. Acting as the central decision point for candidate progression, this role partners with Virtual Advice leadership, Sales Managers, Talent Acquisition and HR to refine selection standards, integrate performance insights, and continuously improve the advisor hiring experience.
This can be a remote position within the US.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Serve as the lead in the interview process for prospective Virtual Advice candidates, applying standardized criteria and structured interview techniques to ensure consistency, objectivity, and alignment with the advisor success profile.
+ Own s the integrity and consistency of the advisor selection process across Virtual Advice, ensuring alignment with enterprise talent strategy and compliance standards
+ Leverage s post-hire performance data , Virtual Advice Manager s , Field Leader insights , and other key stakeholders to make data-informed enhancements to the virtual advi sor candidate experience and selection process.
+ Ensure s a consistent , high-quality interview experience and serve s as the key liaison among st the Capacity Growth COE, Corporate Talent Acquisition, internal stakeholders, and Virtual Advice leadership throughout the interview and selection process.
+ Collaborate s with the Capacity Growth COE and other key stakeholders to ensure the interview and selection process aligns with recruiting goals, supports pipeline health, and informs long-term channel capacity planning.
+ Documents and communicate s candidate insights and post-interview feedback to relevant stakeholders, partnering with Capacity Growth or other key stakeholders to ensure candidate status is accurately tracked in appropriate systems .
+ Deliver s timely , detailed feedback and candidate insights to Virtual Advice leaders hip , highlighting any concerns or opportunities for clearer alignment.
+ Participate s in workforce planning discussions to provide insights on future virtual and field advisor demand and help s adjust selection priorities accordingly.
+ Collaborate with Virtual Advice Transition Consultants to align selection criteria and candidate profiles with long-term advisor placement trends and field readiness indicators.
+ Partner s with Licensing Coaches and other stakeholders to monitor advisor progress in the licensee role and ensure alignment with selection expectations and readiness milestones.
+ Contribute s to the continuous improvement of the Virtual Advisor selection process, including interview flow, candidate communication, and the effective use of evaluation data to support readiness tracking.

This role works closely with the Capacity Growth COE, Corporate Talent Acquisition, Virtual Advice Leadership and Field Sales Leaders, Virtual Advice Transition Consultants, HR and the Directo r, Virtual Advice Talent Strategy . This role must communicate effectively with both frontline hiring leaders and strategic business partners to ensure alignment between advisor talent supply and long-term success within Thrivent’s distri bution ecosystem. Through these interactions, the role influences selection outcomes, contributes to workforce planning, and helps shape the advisor experience from interview through field readiness.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
+ 5+ years of experience in advisor selection , candidate evaluation, or a related role within professional services, sales , or financial advice environments.
+ Demonstrated strength in structured interviewing and candidate evaluation, with the ability to identify behavioral indicators of long-term success.
+ Experience evaluating or supporting the selection of financial advisors or sales professionals within a structured or team-based model.
+ Experience leveraging interview scorecards, behavioral-based techniques, or other standardized methods to assess talent .
+ Possesses the ability to influence decisions using factual data and evidence-based insights.
+ Demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams to achieve common goals.
+ Ability to synthesize advisor performance data and qualitative feedback to inform selection decisions.
+ Familiarity with Thrivent’s advisor model, development framework, or comparable team-based financial advisory structures.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams); experience collaborating with Talent Acquisition teams and working within structured selection workflows.
Preferred:
+ Familiarity with digital hiring assessment platforms such as HireVue
+ Experience collaborating within a centralized recruiting model that supports distributed sales leaders or field-based hiring teams.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $94,389.00 - $127,703.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
