Position Summary:
The College of Nursing (CON) is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor – Practice Teaching Track and Director of the Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center . We are seeking candidates to join our community of scholars who are passionate about nursing and want to thrive in a creative and caring work environment. FAU’s Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing is known internationally for its dedication to Caring: expanding the science, practicing the art, studying the meaning, and living it day-to-day. We offer four-degree programs (BSN, MSN, DNP and PhD) with curricula that are unique and caring-based with opportunities for interprofessional education with medical, social work and pharmacy students.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Academic Responsibilities
+ Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate nursing students in didactic and clinical settings.
+ Develop, implement, and evaluate innovative curricula rooted in caring science and evidence-based practice.
+ Provide academic advising and mentoring to students, supporting their academic and professional growth.
+ Engage in various initiatives and collaborate with other FAU colleges.
+ Participate in accreditation, curriculum review, and faculty governance activities.
Clinical Practice and Leadership (Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center– MWC)
+ Provide overall leadership and direction for the Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center (MWC) operations, clinical services, and strategic initiatives.
+ Serve as Principal Investigator and Coordinator for the ADI–Memory Disorder Clinic (ADI-MDC) designation.
+ Oversee all grant-related activities, including coordination, reporting, implementation, and dissemination of outcomes.
+ Act as the primary liaison to the Florida Department of Elder Affairs (FL DOEA), Community Outreach Partners, and Caring Hearts Auxiliary.
+ Serve as the lead board-certified APRN (Adult Gerontology Primary Care), providing direct clinical care.
+ Perform memory-focused evaluations, including assessments, care planning, medication review, and follow-up.
+ Facilitate and lead interprofessional case conferences to ensure coordinated, person- and family-centered care.
+ Deliver care in both clinic and community settings, supporting access and continuity of services.
+ Oversee daily operations of the MWC outpatient clinic and adult day center.
+ Ensure regulatory compliance with AHCA, CMS, and internal policy standards.
+ Supervise staff performance and workflow using Workday for HR functions (e.g., hiring, evaluations, time-off).
+ Provide financial oversight, including budget development, monthly reviews, and revenue tracking in collaboration with the College finance staff.
+ Ensure operational excellence through efficient scheduling, documentation, and quality assurance processes.
+ Coordinate and oversee student clinical placements, completing required documentation and ensuring high-quality learning experiences.
+ Serve as a preceptor and mentor to students, modeling evidence-based, holistic dementia care.
+ Provide educational training and presentations to a range of audiences, including students, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and the general public.
+ Contribute to workforce development efforts and support continuing education in dementia care.
+ Build, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and local agencies.
+ Lead outreach initiatives that promote the Center’s services, resources, and mission throughout the region.
+ Foster awareness and access to care through community presentations, public health initiatives, and stakeholder collaboration.
+ Lead or participate in clinical redesign, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
+ Support research, training, and data collection related to memory disorders and aging.
+ Ensure integration of evidence-based practices into all programs and services.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates for the non-tenure earning practice-teaching track position should hold a DNP or PhD degree in Nursing or a closely related field and may hold a Master’s degree in nursing with a focused area of practice.
