    Environmental Project Manager

     

    Duration: 12 Months (Contract-to-Hire)

     

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (Flexible, Hybrid)

     

    Compensation: $90,000–$130,000 annually + Medical, Dental, 401(k), Profit-Sharing, PTO

    About the Role

    This is a field-forward position (approximately 80% field-based) ideal for someone with a strong background in environmental science, geology, or engineering who’s ready to take the next step into project management. You’ll support and lead environmental site investigations, coordinate vendors, manage budgets, and contribute to technical deliverables across a diverse portfolio of projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct groundwater and soil sampling, drilling oversight, and Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments

    • Scope jobs, build budgets, and manage vendors across up to 20 active projects

    • Support proposal development and client communications

    • Interpret environmental data and contribute to technical reports

    • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and QA/QC standards

    • Collaborate with senior PMs and technical experts on remediation and due diligence projects

    Must-Have Qualifications

    • 4–6 years of total experience in environmental consulting

    • At least 1 year in a project coordination or junior PM role

    • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or related field

    • Strong field investigation experience (80% field-based)

    • Excellent organizational and communication skills

    • Willingness to commit to the role for at least 3 years

    Preferred Skills

    • Master’s degree in a related field

    • Certifications: PG, PE, QISP, or GIT

    • Report writing experience (writing samples will be requested)

    • Familiarity with human health risk assessments

    • Experience with clients in oil & gas, military, municipalities, or private development

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $180000.00/hr.
