Description

Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for new and existing production lines. Modify and optimize existing automation systems to enhance performance and reduce downtime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, maintenance) to ensure seamless integration of automation systems. Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems using Allen Bradley, Wonderware, and Ignition platforms. Develop and maintain documentation for automation systems, including schematics, programming logic, and operational procedures. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in all automation projects. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians. Analyze system performance data and implement continuous improvement strategies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (Master’s preferred). 7+ years of experience in industrial automation engineering. Expertise in Allen Bradley PLCs, Wonderware, and Ignition SCADA systems. Strong understanding of industrial networking, control systems, and instrumentation. Proven experience in modifying and optimizing existing automation lines. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and leadership skills. Experience with robotics integration and motion control systems. Knowledge of MES systems and data analytics for manufacturing. Familiarity with safety PLCs and machine safeguarding standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
