Job Title: Traffic EngineerJob Description

Join an innovative and forward-thinking team as a Traffic Engineer. You will work with a dedicated group of professionals to design and build excellent engineering proposals. This role offers a dynamic work environment with the opportunity to participate in a variety of projects, contributing to both the local metro Detroit area and beyond. After an initial training period, enjoy the flexibility of one remote workday per week.

Responsibilities

+ Collect and analyze traffic data

+ Prepare detailed traffic impact studies

+ Develop plan sheets and Synchro model networks

+ Create traffic sign and pavement marking plans

+ Conduct crash analyses and design traffic signals

+ Prepare maintenance of traffic plans and documentation

+ Resolve design and construction problems effectively

+ Develop project cost estimates and schedules

+ Ensure timely and smooth project completion

+ Participate in field investigations to diagnose issues

+ Develop reports and preliminary concepts

+ Adapt to varied experiences and changes in the work environment

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

+ Valid Driver’s License

+ 1-3 years of traffic engineering experience, ideally with traffic studies

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Synchro, VISSIM, Highway Capacity Software, and Microsoft Office Suite

+ Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ EIT or PE license

+ Roadway design skills

+ MicroStation design experience

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomfield Hills, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $39.00/hr.
