Electrical Safety Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Safety Manager for a 12-month contract, with the potential for a permanent position. The role involves overseeing Data Center operations across various locations in the DMV area.

Responsibilities

+ Coordinate project leadership and field personnel to implement safety activities with a focus on incident prevention, risk removal, or reduction.

+ Review site safety programs and propose improvements to integrate safety into the work culture.

+ Conduct site audits to identify and correct potential hazards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and fostering a successful safety culture.

+ Participate in creating job hazard plans, tasks submittals, and safety specifications, verifying all safety precautions are included.

+ Maintain liaison with outside organizations such as clinics, fire departments, and rescue teams to provide site information and support for projects.

+ Conduct or coordinate safety and first aid training to educate workers on safety policies, laws, and practices, and communicate safety information through toolbox talks or morning huddles.

+ Conduct and communicate incident investigation findings to minimize recurrence, prepare accident reports, and confirm closure of corrective actions.

+ Encourage early incident or injury reporting and promote the submittal of near misses, good catches, lessons learned, or best practices.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Exceptional organizational and coordination skills.

+ Working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

+ Electrical or Mechanical Construction Experience.

+ 5-10 years of safety experience.

+ OSHA certifications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in construction or construction management is beneficial.

+ Documentation management skills.

Work Environment

This is a 100% on-site position. The company offers a 401(k) plan, 2 weeks of PTO, and 6 paid holidays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FAIRFAX, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/hr.
