    As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings from sketches, engineering and design information, verbal instructions, and notes using AutoCAD. You will ensure that computer-generated engineering drawings adhere to established standards and procedures, while reviewing all work to guarantee accuracy and completeness for presentation to engineers.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare drawings using AutoCAD based on sketches, engineering information, and verbal instructions.

    + Ensure all computer-generated drawings conform to established standards and procedures.

    + Review completed work for accuracy and completeness before submission to engineers.

    + Convert verbal and written information into detailed computer-generated drawings.

    + Operate a plotter to transfer developed drawings to an appropriate medium.

    + Assist with a range of projects and collaborate with multiple project engineers.

    + Maintain schedules and manage deadlines efficiently.

    + Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD, with a focus on civil type drawings.

    + Ability to read and understand construction drawings.

    + Strong mathematical calculation skills for minor adjustments.

    + Experience in 3D CAD Drafting, particularly in Civil and Mechanical disciplines.

    + A minimum of 3 years of experience as a CAD Technician.

    + Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.

    + Knowledge of GIS software is beneficial.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.

    + High school diploma or technical school training required.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in an office environment with a possible flexible schedule. The engineering firm consists of approximately 25 employees and offers a family-like atmosphere where collaboration is encouraged. The company is growing with numerous large projects, providing a dynamic work environment.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Little Rock, AR.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
