Job Title: Continuous Improvement Production Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Continuous Improvement Production Engineer to support various projects including new product introduction and capital improvements. The role involves utilizing Lean Manufacturing processes to develop solutions that eliminate non-value activities in the manufacturing process. You will provide equipment, tooling, material specifications, manufacturing processes, quality inspection documents, and time standards while managing projects related to automation investments.

Responsibilities

+ Support new product introduction and capital improvement projects.

+ Utilize Lean Manufacturing Processes to enhance productivity.

+ Develop solutions to eliminate non-value activities in the manufacturing process.

+ Provide specifications for equipment, tooling, and materials.

+ Manage manufacturing processes and quality inspection documents.

+ Establish time standards for manufacturing processes.

+ Oversee project management related to automation investments.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing.

+ Project management expertise.

+ Proficiency in time studies and process improvement.

+ Knowledge of automation, torque tooling, machining, and welding engineering.

+ Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles.

+ Background in engineering fields such as mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a technical field.

+ 2+ years of experience in manufacturing.

+ Fundamentals of Quality Assurance.

+ Experience with CAD/CAM software.

Work Environment

Join a reputable forklift manufacturer located in Central KY, where the facility is meticulously maintained. Our work schedule consists of Monday through Thursday, with 10-hour shifts and occasional overtime on Fridays. We value internal promotions and offer the opportunity to work on custom orders and special projects. Enjoy 10 days of PTO and 6 paid holidays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berea, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $42.50/hr.
