Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will take on the role of a Reliability Engineer, where you will collect and analyze equipment performance data to identify patterns and predict potential failures. Your mission will be to develop and implement strategies to enhance system reliability and reduce maintenance costs. You will conduct root cause analyses to address recurring issues and design maintenance schedules based on predictive and preventative insights. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key, as you will integrate new technologies and improve operational processes while ensuring systems operate optimally and comply with safety standards. Your findings and recommendations will be communicated through detailed reports and documentation.
Responsibilities
+ Collect and analyze equipment performance data to identify patterns and predict potential failures.
+ Develop and implement strategies to enhance system reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
+ Conduct root cause analyses to address recurring issues.
+ Design maintenance schedules based on predictive and preventative insights.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve operational processes.
+ Continuously monitor systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
+ Prepare detailed reports and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to management.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience.
+ Proficiency in reliability engineering, time studies, and validation.
+ Expertise in process improvement and minimizing downtime.
+ Understanding of 5 why analysis and FMEA analysis.
+ Proficiency in root cause analysis, lean manufacturing, and process engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 8+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience.
+ PMP (Project Management Professional) certification (preferred) .
+ Experience managing projects valued at $15,000 to $20,000.
+ Strong vendor relationship management skills.
+ Preferred experience in mining industry, ME Global, Steel Mill, or Food Industry.
Work Environment
You will be working in a manufacturing environment, spending 60% of your time on the facility shop floor with automated equipment and 40% at a desk. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, or four 10-hour shifts. The industrial environment requires wearing boots, pants, PPE such as hard hats and glasses. The work can be physically demanding, especially in summer heat.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
