    The Idaho Transportation Department is seeking a motivatedElectrical Apprenticeto join ourD4 team in Shoshone, Idaho. This position is temporary, non-benefited. This is a hands-on opportunity ideal for someone currently enrolled in an electrician program who’s looking to gain real-world experience and will work under a licensed Electrician.

    EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

    + Assist licensed electricians with installations, maintenance, and repairs

    + Pull wires, install outlets, fixtures, and panels

    + Maintain a clean and safe work environment

    + Follow safety protocols and local electrical codes

    + Organize tools and equipment

    The position requires:

    + Eagerness to learn

    + Ability to work well under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician following electrical code manuals

    + Pre-employment and random drug testing

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

    + Knowledge of traffic signal systems is a bonus

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + Currently enrolled in an electrical trade program or apprenticeship

    + Basic understanding of electrical systems and tools

    + Willingness to learn and follow directions

    + Strong work ethic and reliability

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
