JOB SUMMARY
The Underwriting Wording Specialist supports the Enterprise, the Underwriting team, the Products team, and the Compliance Departments as document issuers and developers. Their role is to manage, update, evaluate, and assist with the overall wording issuing of new custom group wordings and renewals in accordance with IMG’s business needs. A general understanding of compliance and regulations, as they relate to legal and regulatory agencies, and comprehensive knowledge of benefit designs within the IMG product portfolio is required. Wording management not only encompasses the specified portfolios of IMG business; this also includes working within the Product Configurator, AdminSys and the QA of benefits and policy provisions.
Departments the UW Product Wording Specialist works with on a regular basis would include EPMO, Operations, Underwriting, Claims, Business Intelligence, Sales, Account Services, Legal, Claims, and Marketing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ The Specialists primary tasks will be to help manage the process of the annual custom group product renewals.
+ Technical writing of wording where needed to support a product’s benefits and their intent.
+ Issuing and publication of newly sold custom groups.
+ Communicate with the various team members during the process.
+ Report on the progress and assist to keep the wordings schedule for specified effective dates.
+ Maintain historical tracking of changes made to the various group wordings.
+ Communicate with internal clients on outcomes from wording updates.
+ Ensure the process follows standard operating procedures and SLA’s.
+ Help identify and eliminate typographical mistakes before documents are published.
+ Review document format and content to ensure benefits and supporting information match the product, UW proposal form and sold case worksheets.
+ Develop and continually build comprehensive knowledge of IMG product designs.
+ Administer product information in the product database and AdminSys.
+ Manage the certificate guideline process, from creation to assignment within the admin system.
+ Manage the Products email box by responding to, placing certificate (new business/renewals) requests in workflow per operating procedures
+ Create and manage the renewal letter templates for the monthly LTG business
QUALIFICATIONS
+ Minimum (3) Years’ Experience in Medical or Travel Insurance
+ Policy Forms and drafting
+ Sales and Benefit Design
+ Microsoft Office Products with emphasis on Word and Excel
+ Command of English grammar and proofreading
+ Proficient in reading and understanding a documents intent
+ Ability to analyze information and Problem-solving skills
