Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Floor Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing finished prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist.
Responsibilities
+ Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.
+ Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them according to procedure.
+ Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store them as needed during low volume times.
+ Manually package materials and products.
+ Pull and pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas and prepack racks.
+ Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks.
+ Alert the pharmacist on duty about any medication or product that is not scanning properly.
+ Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all necessary stock supplies.
+ Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
+ Be prepared to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required or expected.
+ Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Retail pharmacy experience.
+ Data entry skills.
+ Pharmacy technician license and certification.
+ Ability to fill orders and manage inventory.
+ Experience with drug products and healthcare.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to work at a moderate speed.
+ Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
+ Must possess and maintain a clear and active MD Pharmacy Technician License issued by the MD Board of Pharmacy.
+ Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
3rd shift. 8 hour shift that would start between 8pm-10pm
- Open to 4-day 10-hour shifts if needed.
Work Environment
The work environment is a pharmacy setting where you may be required to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the day. You may be required to sit or stand for seven to ten hours per day and work extended hours as needed. The role requires finger dexterity to operate office equipment, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion, and visual acuity for reading fine prints. You must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The environment follows departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

This is a Contract position based out of Columbia, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
