    Job Title: PlannerJob Description

     

    The Planner is responsible for developing routings and methods for manufacturing parts, fabrications, and assemblies. This role ensures the manufacturing Bill of Materials is complete and accurate, creates item master numbers for purchasing and manufacturing, and validates estimated manufacturing times. Additionally, the Planner will print and distribute necessary paperwork, interpret prints and drawings, and adhere to ISO and quality procedures while working effectively in a team environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop routing methods for manufacturing parts, fabrications, and assemblies.

    + Establish and ensure the accuracy of the manufacturing Bill of Materials.

    + Create item master numbers for purchasing and manufacturing components.

    + Validate estimated time to manufacture parts, fabrications, and assemblies.

    + Print and distribute paperwork to the appropriate departments.

    + Read and interpret technical prints and drawings.

    + Adhere to ISO standards and quality procedures.

    + Collaborate effectively within a team environment.

    + Communicate effectively and professionally with team members.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in planning or a similar role in a metal fabrication environment for 3 years.

    + Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes, including cold saw, band saw, shears, laser cutting, water jet cutting, press brake forming, deburring, metal finishing, machining, welding, and assembly.

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints.

    + Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and ERP systems.

    + Ability to read, write, and perform math skills commensurate with the position.

    + Working knowledge of metals and associated materials.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's or Associate's degree in manufacturing engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

    + Experience with ERP systems and creating routings.

    + Ability to view drawings in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is preferred.

    + Working knowledge of part inspection processes and associated equipment.

    + Knowledge of painting, thermal spray, heat treating, and chemical coatings processes.

    + Familiarity with metalworking processes including stamping, roll forming, and pipe bending.

    + Experience with AWS and Military welding procedures and specifications is preferred.

    Work Environment

    The work environment involves collaboration within a team and requires adherence to ISO and quality procedures. The Planner will utilize various technologies and equipment related to manufacturing processes and must be proficient with computer software such as MS Word, Excel, and ERP systems. The role involves interpreting technical drawings and requires effective communication with team members.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Green Bay, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
