    *Salary is commensurate based on experience. Targeting: $110-120k / year

     

    We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design, develop, and support electrical systems for balancing machines, facilities, and related equipment. This role involves electrical panel design, R&D, and customer support.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Design and revise electrical panels, PLC systems, drive controls, and computer interfaces.

    + Develop and test new or modified products, including procedures, acceptance criteria, and reports.

    + Prepare and maintain engineering documentation (fabrication, testing, change notices, operating/maintenance procedures).

    + Ensure compliance with codes and standards.

    + Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on technical design and requirements.

    + Provide customer training and support, including on-site visits.

    + Conduct research and development for new and existing products.

    + U.S. Person status required.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

    + 5-7 years’ experience in electrical panel and power distribution design; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Ability to manage electrical engineering projects under moderate supervision.

    + Experience in machine controls & panel design.

    + Proficient in AutoCAD (or similar); EPLAN P8 a plus.

    + Experience with PLC (Allen Bradley) and drive controllers preferred.

    + Strong ability to read/write technical documents and procedures.

    + Excellent communication, math, and computer skills; ERP knowledge (SAP preferred).

    + Must travel up to 10%, including internationally.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Deer Park, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
