Electrical Engineer – Design Development
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our design development team supporting projects for the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Army. This role involves delivering high-quality electrical engineering designs in compliance with Department of Defense standards and collaborating across multiple disciplines to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Design (80%)
+ Prepare and review detailed electrical schematics and layout drawings.
+ Analyze RFP technical requirements and develop technical scopes for proposals.
+ Perform computer analysis and hand calculations for building systems and components.
+ Produce electrical models and design drawings using Revit.
+ Coordinate with project teams to deliver complete, accurate design packages.
+ Assist in planning electrical solutions to meet project requirements.
+ Maintain command of project specifications and collaborate on strategic design approaches.
+ Support design submittals, constructability reviews, cost management, and quality control.
Construction Administration (20%)
+ Respond to RFIs related to electrical scope during construction.
+ Provide QA/QC oversight for electrical installations.
+ Assist with system startup and commissioning of electrical systems.
Required Competencies
+ Electrical Design Expertise: Proficient in industry standards, quality metrics, and DoD requirements.
+ Project Planning & Execution: Skilled in coordinating design activities and supporting construction workflows.
+ Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360; ability to communicate technical requirements clearly.
+ Leadership & Initiative: Self-driven, proactive problem solver with strong time management skills.
+ Communication: Clear, effective communicator who builds trust and fosters collaboration.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
+ Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or actively pursuing licensure.
+ 3–5+ years of electrical design experience in a consulting environment.
+ Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, IBC, and California Title 24 Energy Code.
+ Experience with BIM and Revit (required); sustainable design experience preferred.
+ Familiarity with UFGS, UFC, LEED standards, and government RFP processes.

This is a Permanent position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
Full range of benefits including health, dental, vision.
