Responsibilities

+ Analyze material requirements for raw and purchased materials to complete production orders.

+ Plan the sequenced production and delivery of parts from internal and external suppliers.

+ Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between suppliers and/or departments according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities.

+ Assist management in resolving external and internal supply chain-related issues.

+ Manage Lean improvement projects within the plant supply chain.

+ Compile and maintain manual or computerized records for tracking production operations.

+ Maintain product coding and material master records.

+ Analyze and disposition slow-moving inventory.

+ Apply and implement lean practices to manage materials and schedule customer orders for the least total product cost.

+ Track and implement product changes using PCN, ER, ENC tools.

+ Process material rejects.

Essential Skills

+ 4-year business degree or equivalent, with a willingness to pursue further training and education.

+ Certification through APICS or in supply chain management.

+ 5 years of experience in a production inventory control environment.

+ High degree of interpersonal skills.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels, including plant manager, superintendents, team supervisors, production staff, and support staff.

+ Ability to integrate new software tools and applications with lean practices for scheduling solutions.

+ Proficiency in SAP and legacy systems tools for scheduling and planning solutions.

+ Ability to manage and implement technical and lean solutions in the supply chain.

+ Capability to work without direct supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in production planning and SAP systems.

+ Ability to apply and use lean techniques and practices in a manufacturing operations environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Athens, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.84/hr.
