We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to work on heavy foundation and structural steel design projects. This role involves designing pipe racks, understanding loads, and contributing to structural and civil design for nuclear power plants. Candidates will work on various projects including conventional generation and emission control, focusing on heavy industrial design and power generation.
Responsibilities
+ Design heavy foundations and structural steel for various projects, including nuclear power plants.
+ Conduct structural and civil design for small structures and foundations for tanks.
+ Perform dynamic analysis and deep foundation design for conventional generation projects, such as simple cycle power plants.
+ Work on heavy industrial design and power plant ductwork within emission control projects.
+ Utilize software such as STAAD Pro for structural calculations and design studies.
+ Review and analyze relevant codes, design documents, specifications, and construction documents.
+ Develop engineering reports, studies, specifications, and design drawings based on project scope.
+ Collaborate with multi-discipline engineers and designers to ensure successful project completion.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on utility, power plant, or industrial projects.
+ Proficiency in structural calculations and design studies.
+ Experience with industry-standard engineering software such as STAAD Pro, ANSYS, and Mathcad.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multi-discipline teams.
+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards, and procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus.
+ Experience with seismic analysis and design for nuclear power plants.
+ Proficiency in AutoDesk Advance Steel.
+ Professional Engineering (PE) license in any US state, with the ability to obtain additional licenses through comity.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Laurel, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
