Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to select inspection strategies for critical quality attributes on components. You will complete Test Method Validation (TMV) studies and generate subsequent inspection documentation. Additionally, you will troubleshoot failures in TMV studies and provide appropriate solutions. The role involves providing engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring all activities are completed and documented in alignment with new product development procedures. You will lead and support capital acquisition activities, from specifying equipment to contract negotiation, installation, and validation.
Responsibilities
+ Select inspection strategies for critical quality attributes on components.
+ Complete Test Method Validation (TMV) studies and generate inspection documentation.
+ Troubleshoot failures in TMV studies and provide appropriate solutions.
+ Provide engineering support for new product and process introductions.
+ Lead/support capital acquisition activities, including specifying equipment, contract negotiation, installation, and validation.
+ Lead and/or participate in process review meetings.
+ Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP, and PPAP generation for product transfers and launches.
+ Review and approve validation documentation.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in a regulated manufacturing industry (e.g., Medical device, Aerospace, or Automotive).
+ Demonstrated ability to deliver project tasks on time with a focus on quality.
+ Experience troubleshooting and solving engineering-related problems.
+ Experience with a wide variety of inspection tools and their qualification.
+ Experience executing Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, understanding geometrical dimensioning, tolerancing, and validation.
+ Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), related statistical tools, and validation/verification techniques.
+ Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product, and process design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
+ Familiarity with CTQ, DHF, GTQ, TMV, and remediation processes.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
