    Operations Manager

    Job Description

    As a Chemical Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring safety and compliance, overseeing production operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with various departments to foster a collaborative environment and act as a key leader within the site.

    Responsibilities

    + Champion OSHA PSM, MOC, and PSSR requirements and lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and hazard evaluations.

    + Oversee daily production operations while enforcing a safety-first culture and ensuring environmental compliance under RC standards.

    + Drive initiatives for yield improvement, cost control, and enhancing process reliability.

    + Collaborate closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain teams to ensure cross-functional alignment and operational efficiency.

    + Serve as the Plant Manager designee, contributing to succession planning and acting as a key pipeline role for site leadership.

    Essential Skills

    + Expertise in OSHA PSM, MOC, and PSSR requirements.

    + Experience leading PHAs and hazard evaluations.

    + Proven operational leadership experience in a chemical/process manufacturing environment.

    + Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

    + 8–10+ years of experience in chemical/process manufacturing leadership, including direct people leadership.

    + Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and financial acumen.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Spartanburg, SC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $190000.00/yr.
