Job Title: Weekend Shift - Mill Tech Operator
Job Description
Join our team as a Mill Tech Operator for the weekend shift, working from 5:30pm to 7:30am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with additional hours to ensure a full 40-hour workweek. This role involves engaging in milling operations, ingredient and inventory management, and administrative tasks to support our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct grain testing, including DON testing, dockage, moisture, bushel weight, and foreign material assessments.
+ Perform manual addition of feed ingredients and accurately record medication and vitamin usage.
+ Develop a basic understanding of animal nutrition and ingredient interactions with milling and grinding processes.
+ Maintain cleanliness and perform routine housekeeping of the mill.
+ Understand general mechanical duties and navigate systems like Laserfiche, The System, and WEM.
+ Manage bag inventories in an organized manner.
+ Complete required training promptly and perform other duties as determined by supervisors.
+ Demonstrate core values and work independently or under supervision.
+ Follow Food Safety Standards, including FSMA, SQF, and State regulations.
+ Apply basic math and critical thinking skills, maintaining a positive attitude.
+ Work effectively with others, promoting teamwork and adaptability to change.
+ Ensure safe behavior and follow policies and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. repeatedly and up to 100 lbs. on occasion

+ Ability to work in dusty conditions
+ High school degree or equivalent
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
+ Background in agriculture through education and/or experience preferred
+ Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance preferred
+ Ability to operate various types of machinery and heavy equipment preferred
+ Valid fork-lifting certificate or willingness to obtain certificate within the first 12 months of employment

Work Environment
The role is based in a production environment that can be dusty. You will work within a regional poultry and swine feed manufacturing facility serving the Mid-Atlantic region. As a member of a larger agricultural company, you'll contribute to providing vital food products to nearly one-fifth of the U.S. population. Be prepared to work in various conditions, including lifting heavy loads and working at heights or in confined spaces.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $46280.00 - $46280.00/yr.
