Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is a long-term contract opportunity, ideal for someone who excels in financial operations and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The role involves managing daily, monthly, and annual accounts payable processes with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. To apply for this role, please call us at 808-531-8056. Responsibilities:

• Process daily claims, premiums, and accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

• Handle weekly check runs, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with internal policies.

• Transmit positive pay files to the bank and manage stop payment requests.

• Conduct monthly commission payments, credit card transactions, and medical benefit disbursements.

• Oversee the annual escheat process and ensure timely preparation and submission of 1099 forms.

• Utilize imaging systems to process and manage checks efficiently.

• Maintain organized and accurate financial records for audits and reporting.

• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and enhance workflow processes.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations in all payment activities.

• Provide support for data entry and payment processing tasks as required.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and payment processing.

• Proficiency in handling check runs and processing check requests.

• Strong skills in data entry and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with positive pay systems and stop payment procedures.

• Ability to manage monthly and annual financial tasks, including 1099 preparation and escheat processes.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
