Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing / Receivables Clerk to join our team on a contract to permanent basis in Brentwood, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing billing and accounts receivable processes within a fast-paced construction industry environment. Your expertise in handling high-volume billing tasks will ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue accurate billing statements in line with company policies and customer agreements.

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including tracking payments and reconciling discrepancies.

• Utilize computerized billing systems to streamline invoicing and reporting tasks.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing inquiries and address customer concerns.

• Conduct regular reviews of billing data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

• Process collections and follow up on outstanding payments to maintain cash flow.

• Generate financial reports related to billing and receivables for management review.

• Assist in the implementation of improvements to billing processes and systems.

• Maintain organized records of billing transactions for audit and reference purposes.

Requirements • Proven experience in billing functions, preferably in a high-volume environment.

• Proficiency in computerized billing systems and financial software.

• Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and collections.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in numerical data.

• Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and customers.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

• Familiarity with billing practices in the construction industry is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills to maintain detailed and accurate financial records.
