Description We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This long-term contract position offers a unique opportunity to support and enhance HR operations within a non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in fostering a positive workplace environment while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise the HR team, providing guidance and development opportunities to staff.
• Administer comprehensive HR policies and procedures for employees across the organization.
• Develop and manage onboarding programs, including orientation for new hires.
• Handle employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Maintain accurate organizational charts and ensure compliance with legal standards at state and federal levels.
• Collaborate with leadership to address complex employment-related challenges and provide mentorship.
• Conduct reviews of job descriptions and determine appropriate classifications and competitive pay ranges.
• Stay informed on best practices for compensation, benefits, and payroll to ensure compliance with current laws.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance HR processes and workflows.
• Manage recruitment efforts by creating engaging job postings, sourcing candidates, and participating in job fairs. Requirements • Proven experience in employee relations and HR administration within a non-profit or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of benefits administration, including open enrollment and leave of absence processes.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and ability to maintain accurate records and databases.
• Expertise in compensation and benefits structures, ensuring market competitiveness.
• Demonstrated ability to execute onboarding processes and manage recruitment strategies.
• Comprehensive understanding of labor laws and regulations, with a commitment to compliance.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build strong, detail-oriented networks.
