    Description

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant on a contract basis to provide immediate support to our accounting operations. The ideal candidate has strong general accounting expertise, extensive experience with QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills. This role requires someone detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

    + Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP.

    + Oversee AP/AR processes and assist with cash flow management.

    + Perform detailed analysis of financial data to support reporting and decision-making.

    + Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and variance analyses.

    + Utilize QuickBooks for data entry, reporting, and system maintenance.

    + Build and maintain advanced Excel models (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data validation, etc.).

    + Support audits, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting procedures.

    Requirements

    + Immediate availability to start.

    + 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; senior-level preferred.

    + Expertise in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop).

    + Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).

    + Strong understanding of GAAP.

    + Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

    + Preferred: Understanding of payroll processes and payroll-related accounting.
