Description

We are looking for a meticulous Accounting Specialist to join our client in St. Helens, Oregon. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processes such as accounts payable and receivable, invoice handling, and payment reconciliation. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring strong attention to detail to support the team’s financial goals.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete accounts payable cycle, including receiving, reviewing, and entering vendor invoices into Dynamics NAV.

• Oversee a small accounts receivable portfolio, focusing on three key customer accounts, ensuring timely payment collection and accurate postings.

• Process approximately 10 invoices daily, ensuring compliance with company policies and input accuracy.

• Utilize banking systems to handle invoice processing and maintain transaction records.

• Reconcile payments by entering journal entries into the ERP system and verifying all transactions for accuracy.

• Collaborate with customers to resolve invoice disputes and ensure timely payment collections.

• Conduct routine check runs and manage the posting of payments efficiently.

• Support billing functions and maintain detailed financial documentation.

• Prepare account reconciliations to ensure all financial records align with company standards.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze data and generate financial reports as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Strong proficiency with various ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with journal entries, payment processing, and account reconciliation.

• Ability to manage billing functions and post payments accurately.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and resolving payment issues.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Previous experience with check runs and financial operations.
