Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
Join a team that plays a crucial role in manufacturing components for ventilators and other high-demand medical-grade equipment. The CNC Machinist position focuses on lathe operations and Swiss machining, contributing to the creation of vital parts used globally.
Responsibilities
+ Set up, operate, and program CNC and manual machine tools, with a focus on lathe and Swiss machining.
+ Gain expertise in the operation and tooling of specific machining centers, including Fadal VMCs, Multus, Hardinge Lathes, and Okuma machines.
+ Set up, prove out, and edit new and existing part programs on various CNC machines.
+ Read, interpret, and edit machine code, as well as part prints and geometric tolerancing.
+ Calculate and adjust tool speeds and feeds to match machining conditions.
+ Assist programmers with new part development.
+ Utilize cutting tools effectively, understanding their application, various grades, and designations.
+ Verify part dimensions using traditional inspection tools, CMMs, surface measuring equipment, and optical inspection equipment.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of CNC setup experience on a lathe.
+ Proficiency in programming and operating CNC Swiss machines.
+ Expertise with micrometers and calipers.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machine code.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Haas and Okuma machines.
+ Knowledge of CNC and manual machine tool operation and setup.

Work Environment
Work the first shift from 5 am to 3 pm, Monday through Thursday, with optional overtime on Fridays. Join a team of 55 employees in a clean, organized, and temperature-controlled shop. You'll find the facility to be a comfortable environment, conducive to productivity and quality craftsmanship.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
