    Job Title: Press Operator

    Job Description

    The Press Operator is responsible for operating a metal stamping press ranging from 800 tons to 1600 tons. This role involves loading steel coils using an overhead crane, setting dies, changing out tooling, and interfacing with HMI to run the press. Quality assurance is also a key component, requiring the use of various measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators.

     

    **Pay:** $21.63

    **Location:** Antioch, TN

    Responsibilities

    + Run equipment including coil handling and loading.

    + Perform first piece runs and produce parts.

    + Conduct quality checks and maintain documentation.

    + Set up, change over, and operate CNC and hydraulic presses.

    + Inspect parts using calipers and other measuring tools.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience as a machine operator.

    + Proficiency in setup, change over, and tooling.

    + Knowledge of CNC, press, and hydraulic systems.

    + Mechanical aptitude and ability to use measuring tools.

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with punch press and stamping operations.

    + Ability to handle and load coils.

    + Experience with production and assembly processes.

    Work Environment

     

    The facility is a clean manufacturing environment with newer equipment. It is non-temperature controlled and semi-noisy due to the stamping presses operating 24/7. Ear protection and safety glasses are provided. The company is expanding its operations by adding 28,000 square feet and new machines. Opportunities for overtime are available, with time-and-a-half pay after 40 hours and double time on Sundays. Shifts are available on 2nd (2:00pm-10:30pm) and 3rd (10:00pm-6:30am) shifts, with a shift premium.

    The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $45760.00/yr.
