    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled mechanic to join our team, responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues. This role involves managing parts inventory, documenting work orders, and supporting entry-level mechanics with complex repairs. You will collaborate with vendors and interact with drivers across various roles.

    Responsibilities

    + Diagnose and repair mechanical issues promptly and efficiently.

    + Manage parts inventory and document work orders accurately.

    + Support entry-level mechanics with complex repairs and provide guidance as needed.

    + Collaborate with vendors to source parts and materials.

    + Interact with drivers to understand and address their mechanical concerns.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in diesel troubleshooting and repair.

    + Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

    + Ability to diagnose and inspect mechanical issues thoroughly.

    + Experience in fleet maintenance and diesel engine maintenance.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Willingness to obtain a CDL, with company support.

    + Must be at least 21 years of age.

    + Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in tight spaces.

    + Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off-shifts.

    + Experience working under trucks for extended shifts (8–12 hours).

    + Ownership of a basic set of tools.

    Work Environment

     

    You will be working in a small shop with only one bay, providing a more relaxed and less fast-paced environment. This role requires flexibility with working hours, including weekends, holidays, and off-shifts.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Batesville, AR.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
