Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, rotating, and hydraulic equipment along with piping systems. The role ensures efficient and safe operations within the plant, aligning with our goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

+ Complete work orders and preventive maintenance schedules as assigned by the supervisor in a timely manner.

+ Install, repair, and maintain various mechanical, rotating, and hydraulic equipment and piping systems.

+ Troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment, including pumps, valves, motors, and mills.

+ Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.

+ Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.

+ Document repairs and maintenance activities.

+ Coordinate work with fellow workers.

+ Operate man lifts and forklifts.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical systems, motors, hydraulics, and plant production equipment.

+ Experience in repairing pumps, valves, and other mechanical components.

+ Skill in troubleshooting and replacing motors.

+ Experience with hydraulic systems, electrical, pneumatics, and welding.

+ Ability to fabricate, assemble, repair, clean, and maintain equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma required.

+ Experience with lubrication, welding, brazing, cementing, and soldering piping.

+ Capability to minimize downtime and maintain documentation of repairs.

+ Physical ability to kneel, squat, climb stairs with a 20 lb load, and use hand tools.

Work Environment

The role involves working in varied temperatures within the plant, including hot and cold conditions. You will work in a dusty environment with non-hazardous powder in the air and solvent smells in some parts of the plant. The position is on the second shift and may require working underneath equipment, with some areas of the plant being older.

This is a Permanent position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
