Job Title: Forklift Driver

Job Description

Join our dynamic distribution center as a Forklift Driver, where you will play a crucial role in the loading and unloading of trucks. This position requires extensive forklift operation, ensuring the smooth transit of goods within the facility.

Responsibilities

+ Operate forklifts for approximately 90% of the workday to load and unload trucks.

+ Perform quality control checks on orders when not on the forklift.

+ Receive products and organize them within the warehouse.

+ Consolidate pallets to maximize storage efficiency.

Essential Skills

+ 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings.

+ 2-5 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift, whether electric or gas.

+ Proficiency in printing shipping labels using UPS, FedEx, or similar software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in a fast-paced distribution environment is advantageous.

+ Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Work Environment

Located in North Chicago, our facility opened in March 2020 with brand new equipment. You will not handle chemicals directly but will transport sealed drums in a comfortable, air-conditioned workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of North Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
