Job Description
As a Mechanical and Robotics Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of material handling equipment, such as conveyors. You will ensure equipment reliability through preventative maintenance routines and documentation. The role involves performing battery changes, entering downtime data, troubleshooting equipment issues, and managing the department's inventory, including spare parts.
Responsibilities
+ Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment.
+ Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
+ Perform battery changes and preventative maintenance on batteries.
+ Enter downtime data in daily logs and complete PM sheets.
+ Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment.
+ Track and store department inventory, including spare parts.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of experience in predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
+ Experience in industrial maintenance and equipment maintenance.
+ Proficiency in diagnostic testing, mechanical troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
+ Knowledge of basic electrical components, lockout/tagout procedures, and conveyor maintenance.
+ Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics, and motors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preferred experience in Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Industrial industries with experience in maintaining complex systems.
+ Secondary experience in Automotive, Military, or Industrial Facilities Maintenance.
+ Associate degree from a technical school, apprenticeship, or relevant certifications preferred.

Work Environment
Work in a large distribution facility equipped with high-speed, automated, and robotic components. Candidates should be comfortable with performance tracking through data and numbers. Be prepared to walk approximately 10,000 steps per day and open to working any 10-hour shift, as positions are available across all shifts.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
