    Job Title: Operator

    Job Description

    As an Operator, you will be responsible for liquid formulation, following detailed recipes, and ensuring accuracy in blending and reacting processes based on standard operating procedures. This role involves handling raw materials such as liquid totes, drums, and bags ranging from 50 lbs to 200 lbs and conducting preliminary testing for density and pH. You will be transferring materials into bulk storage, managing mixtures of up to 6000 tons, all while working at ground level. This position requires high skill and precision as errors can be costly.

    Responsibilities

    + Follow recipes and match batch tickets with procedures.

    + Use computers with Excel for operational tasks.

    + Bring in and manage raw inputs including liquid totes, drums, and various bags.

    + Conduct blending and reacting processes according to SOPs.

    + Pull samples and perform preliminary testing for density and pH.

    + Transfer materials into bulk storage.

    + Perform calculations including fractions and percentages for conversion math.

    + Ensure accurate and precise operations to avoid costly errors.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience as a batch mixer, machine operator, or in a similar role.

    + Strong math skills for calculations involving fractions and percentages.

    + Minimum of 1+ year experience in a farm or outdoor work environment or in a production facility operating machinery.

    + Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.

    + Capable of performing physical work all day, including overtime.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in blending animal feed or pet food is transferrable.

    + Skills in stacking, labelling, production, forklift operation, and general production are beneficial.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a brand-new facility located in Aurora with a current team size of 4, which will expand to 30 when fully staffed. The dress code includes jeans and steel-toe shoes. The standard work hours are from 7 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday, with extended hours during the busy season. There is a rotational schedule for Saturdays, with one Saturday off per month, and additional shifts available if desired.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, NE.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $22.50/hr.
