Job Title: 5-Axis Machining Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled 5-axis Machining Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to set up machines, change over tools, adjust offsets, and run machines efficiently. The role involves inspecting finished parts using mics, calipers, and gauges, and working on Mazak and Okuma machines with Fanuc, Mazak, and Okuma controls. Parts range from 6-10 inches, with a 50 mm diameter, and primarily involve 5-axis machining using a right angle head.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and operate 5-axis milling machines.
+ Perform multiple tool changes daily.
+ Adjust machine offsets as necessary.
+ Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
+ Work on Mazak and Okuma machines with Fanuc, Mazak, and Okuma controls.
+ Inspect parts with Bore Gauges.
+ Work with parts for aerospace companies like Pratt, Rolls, and GE.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience in full machine setup and tool changes on 5-axis milling machines.
+ Experience running complex aerospace parts with multiple page blueprints.
+ Ability to inspect own work and use Bore Gauges.
+ Proficiency in blueprint reading and machining.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong emphasis on quality.
+ Experience with VTL Machining and inspection using Bore Gauges.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of a bright, well-lit, clean, and organized manufacturing floor with newer machines. Employees work Monday to Friday with two shifts available: the first shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and the second shift from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. A 30-minute unpaid break and two paid 10-minute breaks are provided, with overtime potential at the end of the shift. Training is required on the first shift for approximately four weeks. The second shift is quieter, with a cohesive team of 45 people who work closely across divisions and departments.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $63000.00/yr.
